A 30‑piece professional concert band performing classical music, marches, show tunes, and big band sounds across Northern California — for the love of playing and sharing our art form.
Our history
The Valley Concert Band was organized in the summer of 1997, originally with the Stockton Musicians Association, Local 189 of the American Federation of Musicians. Currently, under the direction of Michael Hernandez, the band performs throughout Northern California with programs of classical concert music, marches, show tunes, and big band sounds.
